OK... sorry I didn't post yesterday.  Our Homeschool Civil War Ball was last night, and we never had time to post yesterday morning. :  /    But everything is slowing down now, so I've finally found time. : )

Wonderful Music!

My parents went to Fort Rock Family over Spring Break for a marriage retreat.  Dr. SM Davis was there to speak along with Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar.  Dr. Davis's grandson, Josh Wilson came to sing on Saturday night, and he has a really great voice! Check out this song!



(This one made me cry! Ha ha.)

Happy Spring!

 

Happy Spring, everyone!! I can't believe that's it's this time of year again!  

My sister and I have been posting on a website called Lens Love along with our friend, Hannah.  It's a photography website where a small bunch of young ladies share our love for photography. : )  I post every other Wednesday.

We found these flowers in our yard yesterday, and I thought I'd share them with you. : D

By the way.... the deadline for the Civil War Ball has been extended to April 8th!

Homescool Civil War Ball Deadline

News

So I have some good news and some bad news...  which one shall I tell you first?  I think I'll tell the bad new first... remember the home school civil war ball that our family attended last January?  Well the ball would have been on the 28th of this month, but we went to buy tickets after Christmas, and the lady had to cancel it. 
 : (   We were SO sad! 
So... ready for the good news?  Well my sister Erin decided that we should host one ourselves on April 13th (the day before my sister's 22nd birthday : D ). It actually will be at the same location as the other one. It's a ball for just home schooled students, home school graduates, and family.  If you are interested, we have a blog set up, and I'll link it at the end of the post.  All ages welcome! 
Please let all of your friends know about this!  We would greatly appreciate it if you would put this poster everywhere you can think of! Thank you! We would love to see you there! : )

  We believe that this event will be a wonderful time to spend with like-minded families to make wonderful memories! : )

P.S. There is also a ball in Yale, OK on February 23.  This ball is free, which is always great!  Our family went to this last year, and it was pretty fun.  Although it is not home school families only, there are some home school people attending.

Chapter 2

I just wanted to quickly let you all know that I have FINALLY finished Chapter 2 of "Katie's Journey"! : ) Sorry that it took so long to post, and I hope you like it.  I had little bit more trouble with this one... and I will adment... this isn't my strongest writing skills. : ( 
But I do want to tell you that if you get a little lost in the plot of this chapter, I'm puting little hints here and there later, so that you can kind of guess what Katie is struggling with through out the whole book.  Thanks for reading!

New Year's Snow!

Happy New Year!!  I can't believe it's 2013 already!  Well this morning I woke up to flurries of snow... it was really pretty!  I thought I'd share the pictures with you.  : )  Erin went out this morning and took some pictures for me, so that I could put these on here. : )

Eventhough we enjoyed the snow while it fell, it didn't stay too long.: (   Some of it has stuck around a little bit longer, but a lot of it has already melted.  : /  I'm sad... but hopefully it will come again, before the weather becomes warmer. 

I also realized that this is my one year anniversity of my blog today!  You guys have made 2012 AWSOME... eventhough I havn't been all that comitted to posting often enough. ; )

But I have made it one of my New Year's revolutions to be more comitted to you all.  So I will try to keep this promise the best that I can. : )

I can't wait to see what the Lord will do in 2013!  I guess we'll have to wait and see! ;  )
